Titanfall’s second expansion, Frontier’s Edge will be available July 31st for $9.99 (free to owners of the game’s season pass) on Windows PC and Xbox One along with the game’s fifth major patch.
Frontier’s Edge will bring three new maps to the game, Haven, Dig Site and Export. The update will also include a new feature called the Black Market. There players will be able to buy items such as Titan insignias (previously introduced in update 4) and Burn Cards during matches, but on the Black Market players will be able to pick up specific sets of cards, like packs containing weapon cards or Titan-related cards.
Players will pay for the Black Market goods with a new in-game currency called Credits, this doesn’t mean that Respawn is adding micro-transactions to Titanfall. Players will receive credit for finishing matches, picking up their first win of the day, daily challenges and discarding or selling Burn Cards.
The Black Market will open to new players at level 11 and remain available after they’ve regenerated. Level 50 players will earn a certain percentage of Credits for the XP they earn in every match.
