SEGA of America announced today a brand new entry into the popular Total War series; Total War: Warhammer.
Now in its 15th year, the award-winning Total War continues to offer a unique combination of huge-scale real-time battles and an addictive turn based campaign game of statecraft, politics, and empire building...Total War: Warhammer will take the series to a realm of grand high fantasy for the very first time.
Warhammer's limitless,deep, and rich universe is the perfect backdrop for a new Total War series and propels the series forward into a new era. Players will encounter flying creatures, gigantic monsters, storms of magical power, and legendary heroes in detail-rich environments alongside thousands of warriors clashing in real-time tactical battles.
The new turn-based campaign will see players finding the Old World an "unforgiving and treacherous place, filled with endless war and cunning alliances alike." Players will choose a race to play as throughout the campaign and can play through subsequent times as other races.
SEGA also revealed that Total War: Warhammer will be the first in a trilogy of games based on the universe of Warhammer. Promising to deliver "hundreds of hours of absorbing gameplay, it will combine with two further standalone installments and additional content packs to create the single largest Total War experience ever."
Project Lead Ian Roxburgh said "We've always loved the Warhammer universe, and couldn't wait to approach it with the same colossal scale and authenticity that has characterized our titles for the last 15 years."
This looks to be another thrilling adventure into the Total War series and we can't wait to get our hands on it!
