Ubisoft today announced a brand new website for its upcoming action shooter, Far Cry 4. Titled “What Are You Made Of?” the website is an experiential website that was designed to test player reactions in “a world full of unpredictability”.
The website gives perspective players a “cinematic and immersive experience that will give each user a flavour of the wild and menacing world...of Far Cry 4”.
When you enter the website, you will have access to four different “rites of passage”;
- A deadly face-to-face encounter with “An Eye For An Eye”
- An impenetrable mind maze with “Rabbit Hole”
- A hypnotic trance with “Mind Blossom”
- A blindfolded sound chase with “Escape”
Each of these will be released to the website on a weekly basis and will consist of interactive films where the user only has seconds to make a decision. Think of this as the ultimate “choose your own Far Cry Adventure” story before the games release.
User’s choices will be analyzed at the end of each rite that will determine their player personality which in turn grants exclusive content via Uplay for Far Cry 4.
This sounds like a great way to get some unique content for Far Cry 4, and to have fun with the world of Kryat before the game even releases.
