Vampyr Delayed Until 2018

Can we just sink our teeth into this game already?!

For the past two years at E3, we at Senshudo have taken a look at Vampyr, an RPG set in Victorian London and it has wowed us every time. From the depth of the RPG elements and the systems involved to the characters, we cannot wait to get our hands on this game. Unfortunately, it looks like we're going to be waiting a little bit longer, as Vampyr has been delayed until 2018.

The delay comes at the hands of a now solved "technical issue" that set back development, Dontnod CEO Oskar Guilbert said in a company statement.

"Delaying the release of a project you hold dear is always a tough decision...However, we believe that meeting a deadline should never compromise quality. We were still convinced just a few weeks ago that we would be able to release Vampyr this year. Unfortunately, a technical issue — now solved — has set our teams’ schedule back at the end of the development."

The company will use the additional development time to "ensure the game is polished and balanced" he continued.

Vampyr was announced in 2015 for Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

A new release date for Vampyr has not been announced as of this writing.
