During E3 last month we got the chance to interview Wargaming about World of Tanks on Xbox One, featureing hundreds of tanks recreated in stunning and realistic detail, pushing the technical capabilities of the Xbox One to their limit. Including cross-platform gameplay-bridging battles between Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Shared progress between the two platforms through a single Xbox Live account. Today Wargaming announced the free-to-play multiplayer game will hold a special two day beta on July 11th and July 12th with players able to download the beta beginning July 10th.
Players that take part in the two day beta will receive special bonuses including the premium American tier 3 M22 locust light tank for logging into the game. Players who already own the tank will instead receive 180,000 silver as well as one garage slot. All players who login and play between the hours of 11:00 and 14:00 PST on July 11-12 will receive a 2x XP bonus on all battles and a 2x Battle Operation to be used later.
Players who download the game prior to July 28th release date will receive at launch a free premium light tank, the American tier II T1E6-X1 emblazoned with an exclusive World of Tanks shield emblem, as well as an exclusive camouflage.
