Everybody knows about the Red Ring of Death from the Xbox 360. Causing many people to have to send off their Xboxes to get them repaired. Microsoft has changed the way the Xbox One is setup when it comes to overheating. It has many Ventilation holes all around and on top of the console itself.
To prevent overheating in the new console, Microsoft has set it up to where if the console overheats... it'll go into a 'Low Power Mode' to where the console drops performance to regulate the heat. This could cause the console to have performance issues on Graphically Intensive Games. The user should also be informed through a Dashboard Pop-Up Message about the heat problem. Now personally I don't find this to be bad at all. Would totally remove the RRoD threat from the backs of our minds like we remember. People just need to make sure that they don't cover the ventilation holes... pretty simple. So no towel modding for you kids.
