Xbox One Controller Support for PC Now Available

By Stewart Marsh on 29/04/2024 21:51 UTC

PC Gamers longing for the Xbox One Controller drivers can relax today after Major Nelson announced the release of the drivers beginning today. Major Nelson also noted that the drivers will be featured in a later Windows Update in the near future.

It should be noted you do require a micro USB lead to be able to use your Xbox One Controller on PC.

The driver enables support for games that already support Xbox 360 controller input meaning you can now use the elegantly designed and comfortable Xbox One controller with its improved D-Pad on your favourite PC Games. Just simply download the Xbox One Controller Drivers and plug in your micro USB cable and you’re good to go.

Also note that in the picture Major Nelson posted on his blog (above) contains Halo 2 running on the Surface 3, simply coincidence? Or is Major Nelson teasing us at the possible announcement of Halo 2 Anniversary or The Complete re-mastered versions of Halo for PC and Xbox? Stay tuned for more at E3 and from the Xbox Press Conference on June 9th!
